We had a very successful Seachtain na Gaeilge here in St. Saviour's! We did lots of lovely things like filming 'An Nuacht' and holding a Siopa Ispiní in the hall. One thing we try to do every year is teach a little Damhsa Gaelach. This year we decided that instead of just teaching it in each of classes, we would hold a school Ceilí! We are very lucky in St. Saviour's to have some pupils who are also very talented dancers. These pupils put on a showcase for us in the hall, demonstrating a brush dance and a reel. The whole school was really impressed with their dancing and loved that Molly in Junior Infants showed us some of her moves that has learnt since recently beginnings Irish Dancing lessons.

Senior Room Soccer Stars!
Well done to the boys and girls in 5th and 6th classes who recently took part in the FAI Primary School 5s Blitz. We have been lucky enough to have had Jim Barnes in for a number of weeks to work on the senior room's skills and to get them ready for the blitz.
Well done to both the girls and boys teams who took part and thank you to Jim for all his hard work in getting us ready!

Teacher vs. Students!
We had lots of fun taking part in National Fitness Day. In our school we know how important it is to keep fit, teachers and students alike! The theme of this years National Fitness Day was 'Take on the Teachers'! Each class competed against the teachers in a different activity and surprise, surprise... the children won! We really enjoyed National Fitness Day and the teachers are already in training for next years rematch!

They spent the day walking around and exploring all Glendalough had to offer while getting to know the wildlife and nature in the area! They had great fun and got LOTS of exercise!
